Renato Nunes

PhD Candidate @TheLohmanLab | CUNY Graduate Center | City College of New York

Hello!

My name is Renato (he/him/his) and I am an evolutionary biologist that studies insect biodiversity and biogeography. I want to understand how abiotic and biotic factors impact diversification and lead to speciation.

I am currently a PhD candidate in the Ecology, Evolutionary Biology, and Behavior Subprogram (EEB) at the City University of New York (CUNY). The research I conduct in the Lohman Lab uses DNA and computational tools to describe and understand butterfly diversity.

Check out my research page if you would like to learn more about my work.
